ALWAYS CONFIDENT FOR HIS NEXT PERFORMANCE

Nick Shen

Nick Shen Weijun, a Singaporean media personality, is an actor, singer, bilingual host and an avid Chinese Opera performer. He is currently hosting MediaCorp Capital 95.8FM on Friday evenings. Nick is also the first actor in Singapore to master the unique Chinese art of Mask Changing under the tutelage of China’s professional Mask Changing Master Li Shuimin for two years. However, the thick makeup he needs to put on for Chinese Opera combined with the gruelling long hours of practice on stage and the humid Singapore weather took a toll on his skin and Nick often suffer from bad acne and breakouts.

Nick realized that having a good complexion and slimmer face is essential for a successful media personality and performing artist. A close friend introduced Nick to Dr Wong, Medical Director of Kowayo Aesthetic and since then, Nick began his skin care and aesthetic journey with Dr Wong. Dr Wong customized a series of treatment for Nick to target his concerns and he has been treated with laser, skin booster and collagen stimulation treatments to improve his acne scarring and skin rejuvenation for a healthier looking skin.

Dr Wong also treated Nick with the Kowayo signature Face Slimming treatment, which is suitable for faces that are larger at the jaws, often caused by the bulky masseter (jaw) muscles which causes the face to look rounder and bigger. The treatments are highly effective and non-invasive with little or no downtime.

Nick is not someone who rest on his laurels and recently, he has also acted in a film “Unbroken” 《不倒翁》 directed by Kelvin Sng in April 2017. With another local drama “Eat Already 3” 《吃饱没》after “Unbroken” 《不倒翁》, Nick needs to ensure his skin remains acne free and radiant during filming.

Quoted from Nick’s Instagram:

“I will be acting in a new short film directed by acclaimed local director Kelvin Sng this week! I have to make sure that my skin is acne free during filming because having pimples due to make up and long hours is very common for me. I wish to thank Dr Wong Kee Seng from Kowayo Aesthetic for treating my acne prone skin with SpectraPeel. It is a proven system for treating acne that delivers results quickly. Goodbye pimples! I would also like to thank the executive producer, Matthew Quek, for casting me in this local film, “Unbroken” 《不倒翁》!”
